Sadly we don't have one knocking around for Fallout 4! At Obsidian we have a very special internal build (think pre-modded) of Fallout New Vegas that I spent entirely too much time playing. I decided to play through Fallout 4 again, this time with the game modded. They may help people with issues with cats walking off and drowning.I am absolutely and completely in love with Sim Settlements. I’ve added two craftable bowls to trigger animations – one for drinking and one for sunning (aka just laying there). For some reason the icons still won’t appear.
(Don’t do this to living ones, you monster.) The textures are still somewhat crude, but will do for now. There’s eight colors/breeds to choose from – tortie, white, Siamese, black tux, orange tabby, Russian blue, and calico, plus the vanilla grey tabby – and you can scrap them for cat meat, bone, and fertilizer. They don’t do anything else, they’re just cats.
They are craftable under the Decor/Misc category for one empty milk bottle. I wanted some cats for my settlements, so I made this. You can browse the list of supported mods here, but I do want to give a shoutout to “ Craftable Cats” by mm137 as something I definitely, one-hundred-percent want in my Fallout. So far, what I’ve seen is about what you might expect - a mix of silly, stupid, useful, and questionable stuff. I’m trying to keep my expectations in check as far as what’s possible with modding for consoles.
Xbox One players are getting them first, on May 31, while Bethesda says they’re “still on track for next month” for PlayStation 4. Mods are headed to the console versions of Fallout 4 soon, which is good, because after the way Far Harborturned out I think some of us could use the pick-me-up.
